When are your services?

Can I watch a service online?

Absolutely! We stream live to our Facebook page every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and upload our sermons to our YouTube channel Sunday evenings. If you only want to listen, you can subscribe to our podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Music, or you can just check our podcast feed online.

Who is the pastor?

Our co-lead pastors are Courtney Clark and Megan Lawton. You can click here to listen to Courtney’s sermons and click here to listen to Megan’s sermons.

Courtney and Megan are both passionate about diversity and inclusion because they themselves have felt excluded and unwelcome. Both live with chronic illness and both feel a calling to serve God through leadership as women. Being disabled, Courtney and Megan have felt excluded by an inaccessible world. Having grown up in traditional Christian denominations, Courtney and Megan have felt excluded by church leaders and peers who do not believe in God’s calling of women into leadership, especially in head pastor roles. These experiences have created a passion in Courtney and Megan to practice radical inclusivity, doing whatever is necessary to ensure Collective Church is a safe, welcoming, truly inclusive space for anyone who wishes to join and worship.

Why is the church called "Collective Church"?

There are a few passages in the Bible that describe the group of people who followed Jesus (e.g., Matthew 10:2-4; Luke 8:1-3). In those passages, we see that there were lots of different kinds of people--people who had very strong political opinions and other people who disagreed with those people; people who were wealthy and people who were poor; people who grew up in very specific religious environments, and other people whose upbringings looked totally different than everybody else's.

In other words, each of the people who followed Jesus had his or her own story, and yet they were all part of a larger story together. They were a collective, allowing that which connects them to transcend that which might have divided them. As such, we acknowledge that everyone who comes to our church has a story that is theirs, and we want to honor those stories. And yet, each of our diverse stories has led us to the same place in one way or another. We acknowledge the different paths that have led us to the same space and time. As such, our name reminds us of all of the different stories in the room with us.

If you want to know the story of how we became a church, read "A Brief History of Collective Church (Year 1)".

What Are Your Beliefs?

As a church, we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the tomb is empty and that God is guiding all of creation to restoration and renewal. As a church, we believe that we are agents of shalom--called to bring the reality of God into our world. We believe that the resurrection of Jesus changes everything, beginning with us.

Collective Church has six core values, and you can read about them here.
