We have this meeting every year so that we can elect a new member to the church's Board of Directors and so that we can review the previous year's spending and income.

I know this kind of thing doesn't sound very exciting, but it really is. This meeting is when we look at how we are running the church, where the money is spent, and how we hope to do better in the coming year. It's a time for church members to check in with the structural well-being of the church and to know more about their community of faith. Plus, if you are a member of Collective Church you even get to vote!

This year, Andy Schwedler will be completing his term on the Board. Andy has been an essential part of our leadership and was instrumental in helping us navigate our time after the loss of our Children's Pastor back in February, in our search for a new Children's Pastor, and ultimately in the decision to hire Ginny Dodson. The Board is nominating David Isgitt to fill the upcoming vacancy on the Board. The church will vote on David's placement on the Board at next week's business meeting.
