COVID-19 Precautions

The Board of Trustees wanted to address the current COVID-19 surge in North Texas. Collective Church leadership continues to review federal and state guidance and recommendations for how we best protect our community. The health and safety of our church family is our top priority, and we will continue to adjust our plans accordingly.

For now, we are going to continue in-person services. Please do not come to the church if you are feeling ill or have a fever. We are strongly encouraging every individual over the age of 2 to wear a mask while inside our building. Masks are available at the registration desk and directly inside the sanctuary at the bulletin table. Hand sanitizer is available at the registration desk, the coffee table, and both bulletin tables.

We will continue to stream services live on Facebook and will continue to post the recording to the podcast and on the website by Sunday evening. We are actively trying to expand our ability to stream to include a livestream to YouTube and the website as well.

Current CDC guidelines state that people with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.

When exposed to COVID-19, those who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, should quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days. Those who are vaccinated and boosted do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure. For all those exposed, the CDC recommends a test at day 5 after exposure. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19.

Data demonstrates vaccination decreases the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. The CDC strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccination for everyone 5 and older and boosters for everyone 16 and older. Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and reduce the impact of COVID-19 on our communities.
